This beautiful family home has been completely renovated inside and out by the current owners. The large kitchen and living space benefits from two sets of doors that flood the space with natural light and views into the stunning garden. To enhance the feeling of luxury we designed a stunning oversized island with a breakfast bar finished with burnished brass hinges and handles.

This Wellsdown kitchen was handpainted in Temple Bar by Mylands with the contrasting Portcullis on the island, the open-plan space is bright and inviting, and the run of tall cabinetry from the kitchen into the nook ties the space together expertly. To the left, a pantry cupboard provides ample space for the family’s groceries. The shelves can be adjusted or removed according to storage needs, and the family chose a spice rack for all the spices you could possibly need to whip up a delicous feast.

The island is topped in stunning Eternal Statuario with a Caple wine fridge installed, perfect for entertaining. The oversized space provides plenty of additional storage space and a breakfast bar for casual family dining.

During the planning process, the family discussed how best to use this additional space. Our designers are experts in making use of unusual spaces (so common in British homes). For this space, we included a run of cupboards to house the fridge and freezer and much-needed storage for family items.

After visiting our Chelmsford store, the homeowners chose this stunning Ca’Pietra Rococo Mirror Glass Mercury tile. The antiqued mirrored glass adds depth and glamour to the room.
