A Bespoke Cosy Cloakroom

Located in Chelmsford, a lovely family of four came to us looking to upgrade their living space and incorporate a beautiful cosy cloakroom. 

The homeowners made the decision to make their old dining room into a new open-space home office and the old cramped office into a cosy cloakroom. To read about the home office, click here 

Choosing our Wellsdown furniture, the family of four, also wanted a bespoke cloakroom to store all of their outdoor clothing. Handpainted in Ludgate Circus by Mylands, in our workshop in Rochester, Kent, the client brief was to have four tall cabinets to give each of their family a designated space to store all of their personal items.

To fulfill the homeowner's wishes, we designed a bespoke seating area to give them somewhere comfy to sit when putting on their shoes! The beauty in bespoke is that it also allowed our Chelmsford designer to scribe the furniture to fit around an old pipe placing, giving a seamless finish.

To add a soft feel to the furniture, bespoke panelling, curved cornice, and skirting were included in this design. We were able to adapt the cabinet to hide pre-existing pipework and fitted bespoke shelves so the clients had somewhere to store their shoes.
